Can I use my smartphone in Korea?
You can use your smartphone if it is unlocked for international use. Registration of the IMEI code is necessary before arrival at www.imei.kr. If you don’t know your IMEI code, you can easily find it by dialing *#06#.

How can I receive my prepaid SIM card from Kimchi Mobile?
Kimchi Mobile is working with the Korvia team to send you a SIM card along with the Korvia welcome package. As long as you have completed SIM activation preparation, find your SIM card from the Korvia welcome package. As soon as you insert a SIM card, replace your existing SIM card since it will be ready to be used immediately!
How to activate my SIM card?
The Kimchi Mobile team will assist you with the activation process of your prepaid MVNO SIM card. Our team would be pleased to assist you with your order.

Complete a budget plan payment (purchase a credit of 30 days).

Check your email and complete the activation application form.

Submit the application form and a photo of your ID (passport or ARC).

Plan your activation schedule and book your activation with us.

Find your SIM card at your school or at home (along with a Korvia welcome package).

Replace the SIM card and reboot your device two to three times.
*Important Note: If you are using a smartphone that supports dual SIM cards (or eSIM), please insert or use only one SIM card at a time. If you use both SIM cards at once, your prepaid SIM card will be suspended by the carrier.
It is only possible to activate a prepaid SIM card before arriving in Korea.
How to recharge your prepaid SIM card after 30 days

Purchased credits are valid for 30 days from the date of the SIM card activation date. For the service to remain active, users must recharge their credits monthly.
After 90 days, all services will cease, and you will be able to receive calls and texts for an additional 10 days. It is automatic for your SIM card to expire after 10 days if you don’t recharge it.
Policy for Activation Cancellation
Cancellation of the activation is not possible once it has been completed. Changing your mind is not considered a valid reason for cancellation.
