Korvia and Kimchi Mobile teamed up to provide prepaid SIM cards for EPIK Fall 2023 teachers. You can pay for a 30days credit and activate your SIM card upon your arrival. This will only apply to registered Korvia-EPIK teachers.
Based on the survey results, the Korvia EPIK team will send your SIM card along with the NOA package. However, if you have had a change of plans or if EPIK decides to send your NOA directly, you have two alternative options available. You can either visit our office or obtain a SIM card at the Incheon Airport.
How can I receive my prepaid SIM card?
- Get Your SIM Card with NOA: If you submit your documents promptly, you will have the opportunity to receive your SIM card alongside your Notice of Appointment (NOA) package. This allows you to start using your SIM card right away.
- Visit Our Office: For those who prefer a more personal experience, we welcome you to visit the Korvia office in Seoul. Here, you can pick up your SIM card in person and address any questions or concerns you may have.
- Collect at Incheon Airport: If you are attending the EPIK orientation, our Korvia team will be present at Incheon Airport during the EPIK orientation shuttle bus check-in. You can conveniently collect your SIM card from our team at that time.
If you already got a SIM card from the Korvia team, you can fill out the application form and make a reservation for the activation upon arrival.
How to activate my SIM card?
- Purchase 30days credit
- Filling out an activation application form
- Submit the application form and photo of your ID (Passport)
- You will receive your cell phone number by email.
*The prepaid SIM card can only be activated after your arrival in Korea. However, you have the option to make a reservation by submitting the necessary documents in advance.
Can I change my prepaid plan after 30 days?
Yes, you have the flexibility to choose your initial 30 days of credit. Additionally, after the first 30 days, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan whenever you purchase another upcoming 30-day credit. We offer three unlimited prepaid plans for you to choose from.
Can I keep this number after 30 days?
You can keep your Korean cell phone number by recharge credit every 30 days.
After 90 days, you must Register a copy of ARC to use the current SIM service for the rest of your stay in South Korea.
- You cannot extend the SIM without ARC.
Can I cancel my prepaid number?
Once you decide to discontinue using your prepaid SIM card, please be aware that the number associated with it will be automatically cancelled. This is a standard procedure for prepaid SIM cards. Therefore, if you no longer wish to use the SIM card, there is no need for you to purchase any additional credits.
- Please note, as you’ve received a free upgrade this term, attempting to transfer the prepaid cell phone number before it has been in use for 92 days would violate the conditions and result in a penalty of 30 USD.”
