WHAT IS AN EVD SERVICE?
We offer previous teachers in Korea the service of obtaining a Korean Proof of Teaching Experience Certificate (경력증명서) for them without ever having to visit their respective office of education. The certificate is required for those that are applying for a new position but need employment verification from a previous Korean school. The certificate is only obtainable by visiting the Office of Education which had jurisdiction over their previous school. For those that are now abroad, or have limited Korean language ability, this service simplifies things makes it easy and fast to obtain.
WHAT IS AN EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION DOCUMENT USED FOR?
An Employment Verification Document (EVD) is used to prove previous employment in South Korea at an educational institution. Teaching programs, private schools, as well as private academies require this document in order to prove that you have previous teaching experience but also to elevate your salary level.
WHY DO WE OFFER THIS SERVICE?
Kimchi Service provides hard copies as well as scanned files of an EVD for those that are currently located outside of Korea and either wish to return to Korea to continue teaching or to secure it for future teaching purposes. Being located outside of Korea makes it extremely difficult for teachers to obtain the letter as it requires an individual to have an address inside Korea to be able to receive it by and also an individual to communicate the request by in Korean.
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO ORDER AN EVD?
Public School teachers will need to submit a photocopy of their passport info page after ordering an EVD. Teachers at a private institute (Hagwon) will need to submit a photocopy of their ARC card. Our EVD team does not keep order or customer information after the order has been fulfilled. After an order has been fulfilled, We will delete any personal information submitted by the customer.
An agent warrant is needed to apply and retrieve the EVD. This will be composed as you have agreed. Please be informed this will be attached with the application:
